Another joke among fitness professionals is the popularity of treadmills and elliptical machines in health clubs during January when the New Year’s Resolution Crowd rolls in.  A flood of new gym members race to the cardio equipment at the beginning of each year only to disappear by the middle of February. 

Why?

Because it just doesn’t work.
